Agricultural Industry Fine Material Linear Sieving Machine
Linear vibrating screen is designed with dual-vibration motor drive.Two synchronous motors are reversely placed so that the exciter generate reverse excitation force, the exciting force generated by eccentric block cancel each other out on the parallel direction of motor axis,and stack together with the perpendicular direction of motor axis, so its trajectory is linear.Linear vibrating screen is suitable for particle size from 0.074 -5 mm,the maximum size should be less than 10mm.

B.Drive and Mounting of Linear Vibrating Screen |
Drive is achieved by electric motor with carden shaft to the drive shaft equipped with twin unbalance adjustable weights where required additional v-belt drive can be provided. The number of exciters is increased according to screen width and two models are available with the exciters arranged above the screen or below depending on application. |
Each unit is mounted on hollow, reinforced rubber springs which reduce noise levels, reduce dynamic forces, have optimal expansion and contraction properties without the need for bump stops and dispense with the need of a counterswing frame. |
Operation and Maintenance
A.Maintenance of Vibration Motors of the Linear Vibrating Screen |
The Linear Vibrating Screen requires limited preventive maintenance. However, there are a few steps to follow to ensure years of trouble free service. In general, you need to complete a common sense inspection of the structure, vibration motors, etc. on a daily basis. Daily inspection on the screens for wear or holes is needed. If damages occur, repair or replace as necessary. The vibrator motors must be greased with lubricating oil. Over greasing causes overheating of the bearings and this must be avoided. Besides, use only prescribed grease in vibrator motor. If different grease is used, vibrator can be damaged and warranty will be voided. Use only prescribed amount of grease to lubricate vibrator. Too much grease will cause the bearings to overheat and result in premature bearing failure. |
B.Precautions during the Installation of Screening Mesh on Linear Vibrating Screen |
The process during installation of screening mesh on linear vibrating screen is very important as it will affect the durability and the operation function of the mesh. Here are the precautions during the installation and choosing of screening mesh: |
The coarser the diameter of the screening mesh, the better the screening efficiency. Coarser diameter of screening mesh is preferable as the process during the installation of screening mesh is more tedious. |
While cutting the screening mesh, make sure that the width of the screening mesh and the mesh frame is consistent. The length of the screening mesh must exceed 50 to 70 mm compare to the mesh frame. |
During the process of installation, make sure that the screening mesh is tightening as this will affect the screening efficiency. |
While installing the cleaning mesh device with the bouncing balls, the difficulty of screening efficiency and the size of screening mesh must be consider. |
If there is large quantity of materials and if the size of screening mesh is larger, supporting net should be installed under the screening mesh. This is for supporting purposes by reducing the pressure on the screening mesh. Besides, this will prolong the life span of the screening mesh. |
After the mesh frame assemble with the screen box of the vibrating screen, remember to slip the extra part of the screening mesh into the discharge port in order to avoid mixing of materials. |
During the installation of the platen, pay attention of the flatness of the platen. Then, use the foam sealing tape to seal it. This is to prevent mixing of materials and to extend the life span of the screening mesh. |
After that, conduct the screening test by using some materials. Make sure that the movement of the materials is in linear motion while the machine is working. If problems occur, checks whether the screening mesh is being tighten or not. |
C.Malfunction Analysis of the Linear Vibrating Screen |
The principle of the operation of Linear Vibrating Screen is very simple. But, due to time consuming, malfunction of the machine will happen. There are five common malfunction of linear vibrating screen: |
Linear vibrating screen might not operate or the vibration amplitude is too low. If you are facing this kind of situations, check the accessibility of the motor and make sure that the voltage of the electrical circuit element is in a normal condition. Besides, you need to make sure that there is no over accumulation of materials on the screen surface. Check the exciter coupling bolts. If the bolts loosed, tighten it. Check whether the grease is caking or not. At the same time, you can clean the overhaul shaker and then adjust the position of the eccentric shaft or the vice eccentric position. |
Uneven spreading of materials on the screen surface. This might be cause by low rigidity of the screen box, and loosening of the coupling bolts. Besides that, the horizontal screen box is unable to identify. The problem might be cause by the malfunction of the spring supporting seat and the spring. This problem can be settled by changing a new spring or change the bearing size. Other than that, uneven spreading of the materials might be cause by damage of the screening mesh. Change the screening mesh will do. |
Poor sieving efficiency due to improper operation procedure. Clogging of materials on the sieving mesh and increase in the water content of the materials might reduce the sieving efficiency. Increase in the quantity of the fine materials will affect the sieving efficiency too. Another problem that causes poor sieving efficiency is the screening mesh. Both sides of the screening mesh must tighten. |
Rotation of the linear vibrating slowed down and heat up the bearing. If this kind of situation happened, grease or lubricating oil should be applied. If same thing happen again after the grease oil is added, this might be cause by the quality of the grease oil. Bad quality of grease oil will cause the bearing to jam. |
